Pregnancy Class


Thursdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm


The Light Yoga Space Sivananda Pregnancy Yoga classes are suitable for pregnant women beyond their first trimester and all levels are welcome including beginners.


Pregnancy Yoga Classes will follow the outline of the Sivananda class sequence taking you through a series of  modified and adjusted postures specially adapted for your pregnant body.


Safe and comfortable variations of the classical yoga postures will be introduced and you will always be strongly encouraged to listen to your own body and to work at a gentle and comfortable pace.


We believe that once you are past the first 3 months of your pregnancy (so long as you feel comfortable and healthy) that you can continue to practice yoga all the way through the rest of your pregnancy.


Gently and safely moving your body keeps your energy flowing. The deep breathing and deep relaxation exercises can have a tremendously calming impact on your system and can truly help you to prepare both mentally and physically for your birth and beyond.


Between them Janice and Peter have attended Sivananda Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training Workshops and have taught the Sivananda Pregnancy Yoga classes at the London Sivananda Centre in Putney.

Private Pregnancy Sessions


If the time of the group class doesn’t suit you or if you would like a bit more of a personalised experience have you considered a private session?


Private sessions can be 1:1 just you and the teacher of your choice, or you could gather a small group of friends and fellow mums-to-be together for a time that suits you all.


You could also practice with your partner or with non pregnant close friends or birth partners.


Private pregnancy sessions can be either in your own home or at the pretty Light Yoga Space.
