Introduction to Meditation

An introduction to the theory and practice of yogic meditation.

Meditation is the practice of inner concentration and awareness, in an effort to experience deep inner stillness, peace and joyful silence.

We will experience a number of different yogic techniques including Tratak - Concentration on an external object such as a flower or candle flame, silent walking, visualisation, sound meditation and more...

We will look at the 14 points of meditation, a practical guide to developing a personal practice.

These courses & workshops are suitable for everyone and all levels are welcome.

Positive Thinking

& Stress Management

Encourage radiant mental health with this enlightening course.

We will look at:

-The nature of stress and its physiological effect on the nervous system.
-The fight flight response
-Yoga, meditation, positive affirmations, positive thinking and visualisations as tools for stress management.

This is both practical and theoretical so wear loose and comfortable clothing.

Beginners Yoga

An introduction to the theory and practice of yoga at the Light Yoga Space.

We will learn about the 12 poses of the Sivananda class sequence and the relaxation and deep breathing exercises.

We will offer tips on how to integrate the principles and practice of yoga into your daily routine in order to encourage a positive and healthy lifestyle.
